Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal data this website, run by Jan Vlk, collects and how it is used. The site is static: it has no user accounts, no database of its own, and no advertising.

I will never sell your personal information or share it with anyone without your consent, except with the service providers listed below that are needed to run the site.

Contact Form

When you submit the contact form, it sends:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The subject and message
  • Your company/organization, if you fill it in

The form is processed by Formspree, which forwards the message to my email. I use this information only to reply to you and to follow up on what you wrote about. Messages are kept in Formspree and in my mailbox for as long as the conversation is relevant, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and sends Google information such as the pages you view, your referrer, your browser, device and approximate location, and your IP address, which Google uses to estimate location. I only see aggregated reports and cannot identify individual visitors. See how Google uses this data.

You can block it with a content blocker, by disabling cookies in your browser, or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Local Storage

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your device.

Hosting and Third-Party Content

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, and I have no access to these logs.

Some pages load content from other servers, which receive your IP address as part of the request:

  • The map on the contact page is embedded from OpenStreetMap.
  • The interactive demos load libraries, fonts, and styles from public CDNs (unpkg, jsDelivr, cdnjs, Google Fonts).

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Have it corrected or deleted
  • Object to or restrict its processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority (ÚOOÚ)
